Private property owners within the city limits of Pine Island may be receiving a citation for having inoperable motor vehicles if they are unregistered or have expired registrations and are left sitting on their property. I do encourage owners to have current registration on all vehicles parked on their property. Vehicles that are not, should be put in your garage or have them towed to an auto salvage yard. No resident in Pine Island wants to live next to a junkyard. Please do your part in keeping Pine Island a clean and healthy place to live. PINE ISLAND LICENSE BUREAU The license bureau staff will assist you with motor vehicle registrations and title transfers as well as watercraft, snowmobile and ATV transactions. We can also process driver license change of address and duplicate license applications. The license bureau is located on the first floor of the Pine Island City Hall. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If you have questions call 356-4904. PINE ISLAND WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT - The Wastewater Treatment Plant processes millions of gallons of residential waste every year. Whenever improper materials are disposed of through this system, additional staff time and costs are incurred. Residents are asked to never put any type of solid material in industrial or household drains. Each year, rags and diapers flushed down the toilet or disposed of in industrial drains result in hundreds of hours (EQUALING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS) of operator time spent cleaning them off screens and repairing pumps and valves to remove them from a system that is not designed to handle them.
